Hot of the press: Zabel leaves T-Mobile
Told this just in an interview (and press conference).
Doesn't say where he is headed. |

Didn't even think of Gerolsteiner where he'd be back with his friend Udo Bolts. I'd bet they'd love to have him. Bill C |

And when the interviewer asked about his plans "Maybe you'd target another green jersey [...]" he said something like "You're not too far off.". After Gerolsteiner "lost" Hondo, it might be a good fit. |

He knows he could have won it this year. Circumstances like this year, where most of the top guys took themselves out of contention, don't happen that often, and he knows he has only a few years left. Can't blame him for leaving. |

Maybe he's decided being involved with T-Mobile after he stops isn't such a good deal after all. Is the internal structure of T-Mobile likely to change with Godefroot's retirement? |

They're beginning to put together a pretty first class team. You know what they really need is a DS like that 'other' German sprinter that worked so long in Spain. He seemed a great deal smarter than most racers. |
