Scum yet to wriggle in court
"Lorry driver Philip Beadle is due at Camberwell Green Magistrates Court this morning for a preliminary hearing.
He is accused of causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving in the crash, which happened just before 8am on May 28 last year. Beadle has not yet entered a plea to the charge." http://www.standard.co.uk/news/crime...-a3204236.html |

I would suggest you research the facts before you mention the driver under the title of "scum yet to wriggle in court".
Cyclists are also blameworthy but they seem to never be at fault as it doesn't make for such good newspaper headlines. If you cannot find enough facts to give an objective opinion I would suggest you attend court and listen to all the facts and make an "informed judgement" - I'm certain you won't think the same when you have. |

Huld anyone, especially a professional such as the deceased, be so incredibly short sighted and stupid as to ride up the nearside of any vehicle, but especially a lorry, at a junction, it just beggars belief that anyone above the age of a small child could do it. |

These "accidents" are not accidental, they are the result of a driver taking insufficient care. "He checked his mirrors normally" says to me that he just glanced at his mirrors. One assumes that you were not only in court during the whole of the trial but were also a live eye-witness to the inciden itself. Otherwise, how could you know better than the jury (as it appears you must, if you are right)? QUOTE: 1. A jury at Blackfriars crown court unanimously found Mr Beadle, from Colchester in Essex, not guilty... The driver sat down and wiped away tears after being acquitted, embracing friends and family as he left the dock. 2. Judge Raj Shetty told him: "Thank you very much for the way in which you have conducted yourself during the trial." ENDQUOTE Woud you REALLY want a show-trial result, wrecking the lives of this man's family, just for vindictive reasons? Surely not? |

He glanced in his mirrors, I would be surprised if he even did that. He pulled straight left across a bus lane. I did that yesterday in a car you have to be careful. A very bad verdict. Its like saying you can't expect drivers to check every-time. |
