My great, great great grandpappy said said riding a bicycle would
take me

around the world. the guy who decided to walk it is still going.

Ride your bike on roads and stay the hell off of trails.

Lol, when he was riding, there were no roads. It was all trails.

What, not even any carriage roads?

Correct. Roads come after bicycle riders put out guides so car
drivers

would feel safe following the trails.

There were carriage roads everywhere prior to the invention of the bicycle,
but thanks for proving what an idiot you are.

Now go **** yourself and quit bothering the honorable members of this noble
newsgroup.

Mountain bikes have wheels. Wheels are for roads.

Trails are for walking. What’s the matter? Can’t walk?

Actually, I believe that the Romans built roads, and they certainly had
two wheeled vehicles. They even built a race track, the "Circus
Maximus", in order to race them.

Not over here. YMMV.

True :-)

And I doubt if those who were "over here" wandered through the
woods

contemplating the "forest Primeval" either.

Thanks for proving that you are both a couple of idiots. There were roads
everywhere used by horse drawn carriages prior to the invention of the
bicycle. What the hell do you think Wells Fargo used in the early days of
the West? Trails or roads?

Bi-cycles were root technology.

Good Lord man. Haven't you figured it out
yet? "Bike" is a contraction of the word "bicycle" and "bi" is a synonym
for "two" and "cycles" is, again a synonym, for circle, or in this case
"wheel".

You are aware that bicycles were at the forefront of the modern world.

Their development lead to the great transport revolution.

The bicycle enjoyed a brief interim of prominence between the horse and the
horseless carriage. Once the automobile came full fledged on the scene, that
was the end of the bicycle as a practical means of transportation. It is
really the car that marked the beginning of the modern world, not the
bicycle. The bicycle became a toy, mostly for children, but later for adults
as well.

Trails are for walking. What’s the matter? Can’t walk?
