Investigation shows that Honeywell's Spectra fiber is between four and five times as strong as carbon fiber. This stuff makes carbon fiber look like balsa wood.

Doug Cimperman will sell you enough of that to find out!


Andrew, in order to "find out" you first have to have something to compare it to. Tap plastics up the street sells carbon fiber tubes but the layup undoubtedly is totally different from what they're doing in Taiwan.

So you have nothing to test it against.

Did Doug say that he was using Kevlar or Spectra?
