motorists in your own home wouldn't you. Of course, no cyclist could
possibly cause this much damage and danger.

"Two men have been arrested after a car crashed into a house in
Nottinghamshire.

A Peugeot 306 hit the property, on Mill Lane, Caunton, causing
extensive damage to the home and a car on the driveway.

The men, aged 20 and 22, were arrested on suspicion of taking a
vehicle without the owner's consent and failing to stop.

The occupants of the house, who were in bed at the time of the crash
at about 01:00 BST, were not injured.

Police said a Peugeot had been stopped on the A616 at Muskham moments
before the crash but had sped away from officers.

'Tremendous crash'

Karen Harrison-Jones and her husband David Harrison, who live in the
house, said they were still shaken by what had happened.

Mrs Harrison-Jones said: "We'd gone to bed about 23:30, had settled
down and were fast asleep when we heard this tremendous crash.

"I guessed what had happened and we went through to the front and saw
the car in the lounge.

"Smoke was coming out from under the bonnet. I rang 999 and they said
to get out of the house.

"This is a quiet little sleepy village. You never imagine anything
like this will happen."

Mr Harrison said: "My wife's a light sleeper and usually between 01:00
and 03:00 she'll go into the front lounge and watch the television -
but she didn't last night.

"You've seen how the bricks have been thrown to the back of the lounge
- any of those bricks could have killed her."

There should be a law against it, but less about the OT posting, there
is a law against what happened in this non cyclist related incident &
arrests were made.

Given the common danger presented to cyclists by motorists, any
seriously bad behaviour by motorists which could put cyclists at risk
is of relevance here and therefore not OT. So, your attempt to evade
the issue of cyclist vulnerability fails yet again.
