Still in headless chicken mode
Since I need some petrol for my lawn mower I cycled past the nearest
Asda to see whether it was worth filling my container. Sure enough, despite assurances that nothing is going to happen before Easter, there they were, spilling out of the forecourt enjoying a good queue before trying to squeeze half a gallon in. Oh well, I guess the grass isn't going to grow much until it rains. |

I had no problem at all filling up my car today. There was the usual queue of five numbnuts waiting to the left hand side of the pumps as their filler caps are on the right. So is mine, but I went to the empty right hand side of the pumps and filled up my car by lifting the long hose over my boot into the fuel tank, then laughing my head off as the penny dropped with the drivers still waiting :-) The only snag was that it was a Shell and so I had to pay full whack. -- Simon Mason |
