Well, 8.10am and here I am at work... Was all set to go this morning,
running a bit late, hoping to catch the group as it came down Donnie
Road. Flat. Inside, before I'd even left the house. Had the wheel off
in ten seconds then started to think - only got one spare tube; do I
go out without a spare or what? It all became academic when I saw the
small chunk out of the tyre that probably has the puncture under it.
Into the shower to get all the sunscreen off and drove into work (Kew)
where I was going to get off the ride anyway. I figure I'll do what I
have to here and ride this afternoon in what should be a ripper of a
day after I've sorted out this tyre/tube thing.
Hope y'all had a good one.

I'm thinking cycling might have been a better option this morning. Two
hrs since half-marathon finished and my legs are KILLING ME. Next year I
think around the bay mya be a better option (I'll probably regret that 2
hrs after it finishes too)

Cool guys! I achieved my goal today of sticking
with the Glenvale C bunch until the line. Another
couple of months training at higher intensity and
I'll be in front at the line :-)
Damn those bunches are huge there now!
Damn the pace is high! One dude pedal hit
and another stuffed a corner totally and hit the
curb, right in front of me. Looked good as he
did the superman impersonation.. it probably
helped coz he would've landed on grass..

the Hawthorn club membership allowed me to dip my toe last summer.

Hey well done! I've not seen the course at Glenvale - my interest i
racing started after I left Melbourne 5 years ago....

... 5 minutes elapses...

ha ha ha ha - you wouldn't read about it. I just looked up th
reference for Glenvale Cr. I used to live in Orion Crt, Mulgrave
literally a stone's throw away! Too bad I was more interested in racin
motorbikes...

I'm sure it used to be 20-30 riders, now it's like 60+.

Yep, unless you wanna pay for a day license every race.

the Hawthorn club membership allowed me to dip my toe last summer.

How come you didn't renew? You could've been racing
all winter... slacker! ;-) (just like I didn't.. )

Race Glenvale or Dalmore or Dunlop or METEC
or Nyadale.. No silly hills. Well, METEC and
Nyadale have little 'bumps'.

Speed and gearing.. I'll just get the Polar data.. hang on..
55min, HR: 172/193, 36.4k, 28.4kph 40.1kph,
Cad: 107bpm, 23degC

40.1kph! That can't be right?!
No wonder I'm shagged out after racing..

That'll learn ya! I have a CBR 250 in my
garage at the moment. I loaned a friend my
car for a couple of weeks, because apparently,
moving house using a motorbike is tricky?
If only I could ride the damn thing..

Dunlop Rd. is just down Springvale Rd. Does
anyone still race there? I liked that circuit..

55 minutes
Heart Rate: 172bpm average, 193bpm max
Distance: 36.4k
Speed: (okay this bit confused me - stupid laps speed)
40.1kph appears to be the average speed, but 28.4 is
displayed in the list as well - I don't know what it's for?
Cadence: average 107rpm (sorry, typo originally)
Temperatu 23 degrees celcius
