Injured mountain biker airlifted to hospital

An elderly man has been airlifted to hospital after coming off his
mountain bike in the Marlborough Sounds.

The man in his 80s from Kenepuru Heads was reported overdue from a
trip to the Queen Charlotte track at 2pm yesterday. Police search and
rescue members found him on the track with hip and leg injuries.

Nelson's rescue helicopter was called in at 11pm because of the
remoteness of the steep, bushclad location. The crew used night vision
goggles to spot him and a St John advanced paramedic was winched down.
The man was treated on the spot and was then winched out.

What an expensive way to travel, especially for the planet!

Explain to us why you use commercial air travel when you claimed that
aircraft were just convenient for people who don't care about the
environment.

In regards to aircraft being essential for conservation, you wrote:

You ask what we did before the airplane was invented and yet you take
commercial airlines to environmental conferences around the globe.
Why
didn't you do as Darwin did and take a sailing ship? Why are you such
a hypocrite when it comes to your own conveince? Because you are a
fraud.
