Bracelets for Bike Lanes?
 

Obviously it got to do with SAFETY. Would you push an 11 year old child
with a bike into the mean streets of America? Sounds to me like
throwing a sardine into a tank full of sharks.


bike lanes don't always equal safty.

No, that's not it.

Study your history and you'll find that after the early 1900s bike boom,
cycling has culturally taken the status of a "play" activity in the US,
whereas in much of the rest of the world, the bike has been and remains a
vehicle.
