Wrap a bit of tape round it. Measure the circumference. Divide by 3.1416.

That's the most standard seat post dia. for butted steel frames with
1-1/8" tubing.

Does 1-1/8" look about right?

Deatpost size really tells you nothing. Have you tried contacting
Lightspeed? (Don't they use braze-on now?) Thing is, both my IF and my
Fuji take 26.8 seatposts. The IF uses a 1 1/8 and the Fuji a 1 1/4...

My 2002 Litespeed Pisgah Takes a 27.2 seatpost, 31.8 seatpost clamp,
then a 34.9 derailleur. The only way to know what size you need is to
measure. Use a calper, or wrap a tape around it and divide by pi.
