Here Is the BMC Teammachine SLR01 Disc [1]
which is an example of what I have seen many
times now in the "cycling press", and that is
to have the frame in one (and only one) bright
color, and then everything else in gray or most
often black!

Very ugly IMO. Black is the most boring and
depressing color which is why kids are afraid
of the dark and people wear black at funerals.

Gray can be a cool color but only in
combination with other colors.

And why the entire frame in one color? It looks
much better to have different parts in
different colors, or even several colors
intermingling and blending on each part (but
not too much). Also, one can mix shiny colors
with dull colors, like the down tube dull and
the rest satin, or so.

Why do people like it like that??

Perhaps satin/gloss are the words?

Motorcycle accident statistics hint that a black motorcycle with rider in
black leathers is less likely to get a SMIDSY.

Cant remember having seen a black bicycle - so there probably isn't any
data.

Less???

Perhaps in sunny Florida? Or Antarctica?
Absolutely not here.

Black eats light. Girls that feel they are fat
wear black. But this only makes them look
miserable. And if you wear black all day, this
is what you'll feel, right?

Bright colors with clothes look much bigger and
is easier to see - no data required.

Sure, if the leathers have "Hell's Angels" emblazoned across the back,
otherwise I'm not so sure about that factoid.

Nah, I trust it it is my eyes that has the
beauty in this case.

The bigger the item, the more colors there
should be. A bike is too big for just one
color, if we discount black.

Take the Earth from space for example - don't
everyone think it looks great? Imagine it was
just 2-3 same-colored colors. Ueh!

You may be wrong. As an experiment try asking a random sampling of
chaps "How come you married such an ugly woman" as a test of the
accuracy of your "eye".

You may find that you have over estimated the accuracy of your eyes
:-)

You can give me that bike any time. Black/grey never goes out of fashion. Because of that it is my preferred 'çolor'.
You drive a purple or Kermit green car?
