Re-gluing tubular tread?

I have a nice Vittoria Crono tubular tire, and a few centimeters of
tread have peeled up from the casing.

Is liquid latex good for re-gluing the tread?
How do I do it?
Should I clean the surfaces?
With what?
Is there some drying time before sticking them together?

Thanks!

I know, it's kind of a contrast, eh?

But the casing is in great shape, the tread looks terrific, the tire's
straight, never been punctured or patched, and it's perfect for the
riding I plan to use it for. So the tread peeling is the only flaw...
:-(

It's a heartbreaker, kind of like a favorite piece of clothing with
just a little unravelling. I'll try to fix it if I can.

Tread separation is a lot worse than base tape peeling. There may be
more unseen problems going on under the tread. If you're set on
repairing the tire then Tire Life (liquid latex) or Shoo Goo ("liquid
rubber") are two good products. No surface cleaning is necessary. Latex
should dry clear before bonding. Use clip/clothes pins to help with
bonding. Good luck.

Flaw = warranty claim to Vittoria?

Firestone learned something about that...

Ah, there's the problem. You notice if your clothes are even just a
little unravelled!!

I have a couple of tubies which have some of the base tape separated.
Would Tire Life work for that?

Tire Life should work perfectly. A cheaper alternative is Steiner's
cosmetic liquid latex at about 1/2 the price.
