Latest quarter: Drop in road deaths, but cyclist casualties rise.
 
3 per cent down for killed overall (despite a half percent rise in
motorised traffic, 5 per cent down for KSI, BUT cyclists up 4 percent on
deaths and 12 percent on KSI.

Perhaps cyclists road techniques need improving ?

So motor traffic increases and their casualties fall, while bicycle
numbers increase and their casualties rise. Sounds like bicycles are
not very sensible road transport OR they are not safely and responsibly
used.

Clearly you didn't understand the effect of the weather on road use or
casualty rates.

Cyclists up, cyclist casualties up, cyclist casualty rates down
(cycling getting safer) if the percent increase in cycling exceeds the
percent increase in cycling casualties. (Please don't do a Medwit on
me).

All the ones that occur in races, all the ones that are caused during
undertaking, all the ones on pavements etc. any where the rules of the
road are being broken. A substantial proportion.

How would you feel about a guaranteed 6 percent reduction in cycling
casualties, it would be good wouldn't it? Answer : ban road racing.
