Problems with a law case?
 

Today's news has the following:

Defendant shoots dead plaintiff, lawyer in courtroom

The article goes on to say that the defendant in a 10-year-long civil
lawsuit concerning 86 blocks of land covering about 3,800 rai, (about
3800 acres) was in court to testify about a different case when the
land-case plaintiff arrived with his wife and two lawyers about
9.15am. The two sides began arguing and the defendant drew his pistol
and opened fire at the Plaintiff and other members of his party. The
Plaintiff and his lawyer were killed.

Yah, it's kind of funny until it happens (or happened) to someone you know. https://www.osbar.org/publications/b...l/parting.html BTW, the author of that article, Leonard DuBoff, was blown-up and blinded in a college chemistry experiment. https://www.osbar.org/publications/b.../profiles.html He's no stranger to tragedy.

These days, getting through courthouse security is a major process, particularly at the federal courthouse. The USDC in Portland has the only metal detectors that pick up the rod/plates in my legs. https://bora.co/project/mark-o-hatfield-us-courthouse/

I didn't post the entire article as I thought the above was more
attention getting :-) But the last paragraph in the News article
states that "the Plaintiff was in turn shot by an on-duty police
officer and severely wounded. He later also succumbed to his wound."

Oh the joys of dealing with the wannabees on those systems.
The real joke is they confiscate anything metal, but you can recover it
from an internal window before you leave.
