Bicycle Shirt question .. kinda dumb but ..::
 

I love cycling, always have. I do not love bicycling shirts, never have.

The clingy feeling ... can't stand it ..

What I do like is the new fabrics that wick away moisture..

Figured I'd ask if any of you have a cycling shirt recommendation ..

What I'd like :: a cycling shirt with the free, loose, cut of a good old T
shirt.
I really don't care about fancy, or color.. solid ugly is ok.

Can ya steer me in the right direction ?

The C9 tees at Target are pretty nice; I have them in a nice array of
jaunty colors for cycling. I also have some Duofold shirts from Campmor
that are a touch thicker, but wick quite well.

Thanks for the input ... I own a couple of Duofold .. use them skiing.

What I'm getting at... a cycling shirt that has the properties of a good
quality
cycling shirt but is loose fitting, and comfy like an old T Shirt.

I have one of those C9 shirts, and it works well on my DaHon folder with
its relatively upright position (and on the 'bents), but it would be too
short in back (for me at least) for being on the drops or aerobars.

Check out Pearl Izumi's "club" collection. They now have a cycling fit and a
club rider fit. I pick up their tee shirts from last season on sale and wear
them as normal tee shirts.

I have a Nike jersey with no pockets and a long zip neck. I don't know
if this was intended to be a runner's short or what, it was a gift.
It's made out of "Dri-Fit" or something like that and is a very
comfortable shirt for cycling, especially on very hot days. It never
feels clingy or wet.

I also wear knit polypro jerseys on hot days, they "breathe" better than
woven fabric jerseys. I bought the couple I have from Performance 10-15
years ago and don't know if they still sell anything like that. They've
held up well.

If you go to any good quality bike clothing store they will usually do a 'loose fit' jersey.

It is usually made of good material which will draw the moisture away from you body. I think Nike do a 'clima-lite' range of sports clothing which draws moisture out.

Also there is a great range of jerseys from top brand Endura which are 'loose-fot' and are supposed to go over padding but I sometimes find them much more comfortable.

Its a bit trial and error with these but once you have found one you like, you will be sorted forever!
