So I phoned the Swine Flu Information Hotline.
It was useless -- all I got was crackling.

half of the worlds population might have been immune from an 1889 flu
epidemic, or did not get ill. Those who died were young and healthy
with strong immune systems and exposed to a brand new virus, much
different than other flu viruses. Their immune system reacted so
strongly, fluid accumulated in their lungs and they drowned due to
their overreaction to the infection. That pattern is being repeated
in Mexico.

The H1N1 flu virus died out in 1920 because everyone had been
infected, and it has not been active since then.

Most years the flu goes dormant in the summer, then in the fall when
the dry indoor winter air cracks open people's throats they become
much more susceptible to infection. THE 1917-1920 FLU DID NOT SUBSIDE
IN THE SUMMER.

germs.

your hands as suggested. Make sure you get alcohol washes that have
60% alcohol or more. Less alcohol will not kill germs. Get a flu
shot when it comes out. Get two surgical masks per person before
supplies run out. Wait two years to do events with large crowds.
