I use a mountain bike for everyday travel to/from most local
merchants. My bike has been optimized for an urban environment, with
thinner street(1.5") tires, nose less seat, and extra nighttime
illumination.

Now for the benefits of regular bicycling.

Longer life span. (Extended workouts slows down the aging process by
up to 33%).
Much better fitness levels and lower blood pressure.
Healthier move active lifestyle.
More efficient food utilization. (Reduced food inputs needed to
maintain desired healthy weight range.)

One of the lowest carbon emission alternatives to other forms of
travel. (600+ MPG equivalent)
