**HELP!!!** Rider needed quickly for 2008 Mountain Mayhem

I don't think I can do it, I'm both quite poor and very unfit at the
moment. I'll have a think over the weekend though, if no one else can
make it then I might be persuadable. It was a lot of fun...

New Years Resolutions

Hmmmm.

1) Get our unicycle hockey club going every Saturday (not just some).
2) Not always be hungover for unicycle hockey on Saturdays.

and I think it was last year's resolution too, but:

3) Get...

Quote of the day (from non-riders)

Why would they take it out? It's the highlight of my year. I've put it

Quote of the day (from non-riders)

Me and another unicyclist were walking along with 3 unicycles and a
bunch of hockey sticks between us. First we walked past a little boy
who'd obviously just got a unicycle from a bike shop, all...

Unicycle Hula

Hey Danny,

A very short while indeed I think it was. The trouble is that if you
get it for any longer than a couple of seconds then you seem to end up
going in circles the opposite way to the hoop....

2nd Italian Unicycle Weekend, a short report

It was a fantastic convention. There were a lot more people than I'd
expected there to be. Everybody was very friendly, the site was
perfect, so was the weather (can we move the BUC to Italy for...

Mountain Mayhem (UK) 24hr Endurance race

I liked my second, far muddier lap better than my first not so muddy
one. Possibly because I couldn't ride any of the descent on my first
but at least tried most of it on the second. I'm glad I...

crotch protection for WOMEN!?

This is contrary to mens' experience expressed in other threads where it
seems to be more comfortable for men to have the front of the saddle
tipped up.

Just adding a female vote to...

ethically sourced products (KH)

Thanks for the info. It does seem to be impossible to get fairtrade
sports clothes other than those baggy yoga things anywhere, and I
suppose it's too specialist a product to do in partnership with...

ethically sourced products (KH)

I was just rereading Uni magazine, and in the Kris Holm interview it
says that KH products are ethically sourced. Does anyone know if this
is only in regard to the environment, or whether the chain...

backpacking on a uni?

I was doing a bit of this last month, with the added limitation that my
MUni has to fit into my (35l) bag, minus the wheel. So I'll add a
couple of things that I found:

I get cold quite easily,...

Mountain Mayhem (UK) 24hr Endurance race

Thanks for all the training tips. I did my first official training
session yesterday. Riding up hills off road for 2 hours is quite hard
work, I don't think I'd realised how often I usually take...

Mountain Mayhem (UK) 24hr Endurance race

I'm already really looking forward to this. :)

So...how do you go about training? I've been riding my 26" a lot over
the past month, almost every day, including a couple of very long rides
and a...

29er wheelbag?

I've only ever had problems on coaches (national express occasionally
but particularly megabus), and even then they always let me on after a
bit of an argument. The tube seems very unicycle-friendly,...

Then I read the whole of this thread with a weird...

Are you a Fanatic?

Mine's gone down :(

I can't remember if I've ridden a kangaroo or an off-centre uni though,
so maybe that's it. And I've given away a couple of unis, which takes
me below 5. Oh well. I'll demand...

unicycle dreams

Whenever I dream about unicycling it's on a coasting uni, and I can do
all kinds of cool jumps without slowing down. Which is weird because I
never ride bikes and can't ride a coasting unicycle, so...

airseat question

This is a good way to constrain the shape of an air seat. It makes a
complete redo of the seat in the field more difficult. It may make
non-major field repairs with duct tape easier.

Ok,...

airseat question

Couple of things I couldn't find answers to in any old airseat threads:

1) Will anything annoying happen if I wrap the whole thing round with
duct tape before re-covering? I can't be bothered to sew...
