Quote of the day (from non-riders)

I rode my 36er within 10 feet of a father and his son. They were about
25 and 50 years old. The son yells out to his dad "Did you see that
kid on the unicycle!"

Kid? I'm 55! I wanted to go back...

Kh hub + isis crank a space left when put on

What the hell are you worried about a gap for? The bearing caps hold
the wheel on, not the cranks. As long as the cranks are fairly snug,
it doesn't matter if the spacers are there or not, the...

Unicycle in Mummer's Parade

I just saw a Caveman riding a unicylce in the Mummer's Parade. Their
division show was called "So Easy a Mummer Can Do It".

Was it anyone on here?

Wrist protection and more.

The KH Grey Pulse gloves do have a splint. It's plastic, and in the
back of the glove, not in the hand part. It actually supports the
wrist fairly nicely, and doesn't interfere with grabbing the...

New Weight-loss method: "Unicycling!"

Good going, Terry.

I went from 185 last January when I started riding to 170 by March, and
I've been steady at that weight since. I try to ride 3 or 4 times a
week, going 8 to 15 miles each time,...

Protective Clothing Recommendations

The KH grey gloves work great for me. They have a plastic splint on the
backside to support the wrist in a fall, and a gel pad in the palm.
the wrist support wraps around your wrist and is velcro,...

Quote of the day (from non-riders)

Riding past a bus stop on my N36, one guys says, "hey, it's a uni, uh,
uni, uh, uni-bomber!" His friend says, "you mean a unicycle!"
We both started laughing so hard, I fell off.

How to hop

When riding, just pay attention to when your rear foot just gets past
bottom and is almost horizontal. Quickly stand up, lock your legs, and
start hopping.

Start doing this while riding...

Schlumpf button fixings

As I said, the left one should be tightening itself as you use it. It's
the right one that unscrews itslef based on the right-hand thread. a
left-hand thread here would work, but would be more...

Schlumpf button fixings

STM

On the button you found, was the grub screw still in it?

It seems, from your drawing, that the pressure put on the button in
order to shift, counteracts the small amount of jam force offered...

Are you 45+

OK, I'm 54, and started on Christmas Day, 2006. Purchased a KH24 and
went to Moab in March, then purchased a Nimbus 36 for the LBI Unithon
in June. Rode my first 25-miler last month by riding from...

29" Discussion thread

Play with the air pressure. My Kenda at 18psi would wander like crazy.
raising it to 28psi took all the wandering out of it. Using a BA 2.35
on the 29, it would wander no matter what pressure I...

24 Hour World Record attempt in Aberystwyth, UK

Good luck, Sam.

Just curious, but will you alternate clockwise/counterclockwise on the
track after so many laps in one direction? I can't see making 800
left-hand turns (unless you drive for...

Q-Factor of Sugino cranks?

Thanks, Terry.

Yeah, the wide hub and Q factor on the ProWheels is just a little too
much at higher speeds. My LX 150's work great on the N36.

Q-Factor of Sugino cranks?

Terry,

Do those Sugino 170's look like they could be drilled for 145 also?
I'm looking for a set for that reason. The ProWheel 170's look close,
but I'm going to modify them this week and see. I...

What circumference did you enter into your Coker cycle computer?

Well, I measured 2743 with the "X" airfoil and TA tire, with 35 psi.
I'm going to remeasure later this evening.

Steve, you will love the Garmin. I have the 305, and it works great.
The only...
