California has +26% highways like Sonora Pass:

I've seen pictures of that 26% sign, but the book "The Complete Guide to
Climbing (by Bike)"...

Prescription Cycling Glasses?

I have to agree with David's criticism of Bolles, though. They're nice when
they are new (I actually sprung for a third discounted pair this spring),

came across this formula today:

210 - (half age in years) - (0.11*(weight in kg)) + 4

That is amazingly close....

rear der adjustment

What makes the RD move?

Like anything else, the rear derailleur moves because a force acts on it. In
this case, there are two opposing forces, coming from the cable (tension) and
the spring. ...

Which it isn't. As you say it's the cable length you're setting here and
the tension is always the same and determined by the derailleur spring.

Correct

I disagree. As the derailleur...

I don't need a triple anymore, but this is my first bike and that's what it
came with. If/when I get a new bike, I won't get a triple. I do want a
pretty low gear, as I...

Thorn catchers in the TDF

To illustrate luck and random variation, I've had 54 flats so far in
2007 in 313 15-mile rides.

In 2005, I had only 14 flats on the same route, a 75% reduction.

My comparatively flat-free...
