Yeah, it's overpriced! ;-)
Not familiar with that rim, but a few of us on this group swear by
Alex rims for those needing brute strength. A DM18 costs less than 20
bucks, is triple channel and eyeletted. 650g of goodness. Alternately,
if you want black with machined sidewalls, get the Adventurer for $25.
I've been running DM18s on city scoots for years. Paired with a puffy
tire that's relatively light like a 35mm Pasela, you get a tough as
hell combo that rides great. Neither will be really happy with less
than a 30mm tire, FWIW.
