Tom is wrong of courseā„¢, as you point out. That SRAM/Sachs cap nut is a
custom part not used anywhere else. The reason for 10.5mm is because
SRAM/Sachs felt that they needed a slightly, stronger, larger diameter
axle for their Dual-Drive hub.

As Sheldon pointed out, in a pinch you can use a Sturmey-Archer 13/32 x
26 TPI cap nut instead (13/32"=10.32mm).
