If you insisted on 'taking the lane' in front of a train of semis driven
mostly by illegals you would rapidly become a Darwin statistic. 6 trucks
tailgating at 65 MPH means that the first one might see you an move
over, but the next 4 or 5 will almost certainly kill you. They also
refuse to slow down since that costs them money so the first one will
lay on the air horn but rarely slow down. Come on up and take the lane.
Then I could post the the great (in his own mind) Neil got spread over
about 200 feet of bicycle unfriendly road, but he was riding legally.
