Default Bike Nashbar -- 15% Off (Exp. 6-12)

www.spam.abuse.net and others define spam as: "flooding the Internet with
many copies of the same message, in an attempt to force the message on
people who would not otherwise choose to receive it. Most spam is commercial
advertising, often for dubious products, get-rich-quick schemes, or
quasi-legal services." "Cancellable Usenet spam is a single message sent to
20 or more Usenet newsgroups. (Through long experience, Usenet users have
found that any message posted to so many newsgroups is often not relevant to
most or all of them.)"

Using that definition how is this considered spam? It's definitely related
to the ng. Heck the whole THREE ngs it's posted to are all relevant! The
message isn't being "forced" on you because you can just skip over it. This
is a f/s ng and this is offering a discount on items f/s. If it's spam
because it's "unwanted" email/posting then wouldn't truly any post you're
not interested in be considered spam?

Not being a pest just curious.

Not only are Nashbar spamming this newsgroup they are also hitting Yahoo
mailing lists.

I don't suppose anyone from Nashbar will actually bother to read this, but
take note that because you indulge in this sort of behaviour I will NEVER
buy anything from Nashbar.
