Perhaps we should reverse Nugents' idea and ban non essential motor vehicles.
It has been long established on this group that motor taxes don't even cover the costs of motorway maintenance let alone the costs of the other roads motorists infest.
I have nothing against cars but I do object to assumption that 'the roads are for cars'.
Roads are for people, not machines.
