Bear in mind that a very wide tire on a narrow rim can cause you to go down if you puncture in a turn. that's because the wheel with the punctured tire can slide out from under you even though the tire stays on the rim.

I forget the term for that but it can also occur if you use tubeless tires at too low a pressure.
