A cyclist has died following an alleged hit-and-run incident in south
east London.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a man, aged in
his 50s, suffering from critical injuries.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police continue in efforts to
inform his next-of-kin.

The vehicle involved in the collision, a silver B Class Mercedes, was
found abandoned at the scene.
