You can also look at the records up Alpe d'Huez. But Nairo Quintana has the 14th fastest set this year and he started his rush late. At the top he was still going strong. So I don't accept a chart that only gives a supposed average speed when as I noted - there were a dozen teams with leads and team strength that could have won but due to all of these top flight riders the game has changed.
Can you explain why Fignon was using drugs against LeMond and LeMond won regardless?
In 2001 and 2003 Armstrong used the same training and the same drugs and was two MINUTES faster in 2001. Shouldn't he have gotten faster with more experience with drugs?
