Suffice
it to say, from my humble point of view, enjoy your mountain bike to your
heart's content, but do not do it on hiking trails. There are
thousands of
miles of gravel and dirt roads here in Minnesota and Iowa that are
ideal for
bikes with fat knobby tires. And there is never any traffic on such roads
either.

Trails in natural areas are for hiking only. Even Tom Sherman, one of the
dumbest of all Asses, will tell you that much.


You musn't have been paying much attention to my earlier post, where I
explained that I use the Trans- Pennine Trail nearby, which is
specifically intended for bicycles and is part of the National Cyle Route.
