Indeed, and you, mister Indian marketeer and your Melbourne counterparts,
shall be removing yourselves off this newsgroup. Try /dev/null instead.

Heads up for others: I have sent the following email... hopefully this
will be the last. I encourage others to make similar complaints.

Subject: Fwd: interstate removalist Melbourne
To whom it may concern,

I've recently started to get into Usenet and having subscribed to a few
public newsgroups, noticed this individual posting off-topic articles in
an effort to promote their removals business.

It appears they rely on conducting their business via the Gmail address
used to post the articles. There is no website listed or hyperlinks of
any kind. The posts appear to originate from an address within the Beam
Telecom network (perhaps an Indian marketing mob that were contracted by
the alleged removals firm and are unaware of Australian legislation
regarding marketing).

I believe this contravenes both the Spam Act 2003, the Gmail Terms Of
Service and the Google Groups Terms Of Service as there is no unsubscribe
facility provided and the newsgroup certainly did not ask to be
subscribed to this nonsense.

I have attached two such samples of the aforementioned posts. Further
can be seen on NNTP under the aus.bicycle newsgroup; which can also be
reached via Google Groups:

https://groups.google.com/d/msg/aus....8/lN7Ju6WkqUsJ

If you could follow up on this, it would be much appreciated.
Regards,
