A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a pedestrian who
died after an argument with a cyclist on a Norfolk street.

William Phillips, 34, was found dead by his mother at his home in Derby
Street, Norwich, on 20 July.

Police said Mr Phillips had fallen to the floor outside a GP surgery in Oak
Street, Norwich, on 18 July after an "altercation" with a cyclist.

The 22-year-old arrested Norwich man was released on police bail.

Norfolk Police would not confirm what the man had been arrested on suspicion
of.

Initial post-mortem tests were inconclusive, the force said.

Mr Phillips was treated at the doctors' surgery and in hospital following
the incident.

there really are many more of such incidents these days.

I find it informative to ask in the pub : "Did you see about the pedestrian
killed by a cyclist?" - it gets a debate going and educates other people as
well.

(When I say "debate", in the pubs I attend there is little likelihood of
finding people who do not agree with me as regards to cycling and cyclists -
but it keeps the focus on)
