There's foam padding and there's foam padding: some will allow more air
through them than others. I use an HP-Vel "Airflow", an alternative is
the Ventist (see http://www.ventisit.nl/).
Mesh seats are generally reckoned to be better for not getting so sweaty.

But none will vent your back as well as an upright...
