I imagine it should be fine, as most of the braking power comes from the
front anyway. The rear brake does not need as much modulation or power as
the front.

It works perfectly for me on two of my bikes. I can stop both wheels if
i want to. A rear disc is totally useless in my opinion because about
80% of the braking power is neede in front. With adequate caution of
course ;-)
