Yet another example of how cyclists are treated more harshly by the

Smelling of alcohol and having glazed eyes would not be enough to
convict a motorist.

Would a driver escape being convicted of assaulting police after he/she
had assaulted police?

and would a drunk driver that failed to stop when directed to do so and
subsequently failed to attend court, have received merely a conditional
discharge and a twenty quid fine?

Yawn! A motorist who merely smelled of alcohol and had glazed eyes would not have ended up in court.

They most certainly would end up in court for assaulting four police
officers.
