I've never understood this sort of crime. If he had wanted to shag a
couple of women as a birthday treat why not steal a few hundred pounds
and then pay a couple of prostitutes to act out his fantasy. That way he
would only risk a slap on the wrist if caught, rather than the 30 years
he got.

So clearly he was just a person on a bike shaped object rather than a
real cyclist who would have been able to work that out for himself due
to the increased blood flow to the brain of regular cycling.

I understand why you feel you have to put it that way (though if it were
a car driver involved, *I* would feel no compulsion to distance car
drivers from the culprit), but what you say begs a few questions.
