A BOGNOR Regis cyclist has been bailed by police until May 18 after a
pensioner suffered a broken hip in a collision.

The 52-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in charge
of a pedal cycle and grevious bodily harm.

He was released while detectives make further inquiries into the
accident with a woman, aged 72, also from Bognor.

It happened in Sudley Road, Bognor, about 2pm on Wednesday, April 4.

A member of the public saw the collision and alerted the emergency
services while following the cyclist into nearby Hotham Park and
returning him to the scene until the police arrived.

So he ran away?
