Yes. You could save several seconds in a 10k TT by choosing a
deep-section wheel such as a Zipp 404.
MSRP of the bare Zipp rim is about $700.
The likely reason for the low cost of the IRD rim is that the materials
are humble but effective, the extrusion tooling was paid off about 18
years ago and subsequently has been moved from Japan to Taiwan to PRC,
and all that's left for Interloc to do is print stickers and find
customers.
So yeah, go for it.
