A pensioner suffered serious injuries after a Tour de Yorkshire cyclist
crashed into her during the final stages of the race.

The 86-year-old suffered facial injuries and fractures to both arms after
the rider, who was with a group made up of several riders behind the main
peloton, struck her as she crossed the road to her house.

"A spokesmen said the cyclist has not been questioned by police".
Why the hell not??

Maybe because she was illegally crossing a road on which a temporary
closure had been put in place specifically to prevent incidents of
that kind, so has nobody but herself to blame.
I hope the personal liability section of her household contents
insurance is able to adequately compensate the cyclist for any damage
to his property and injuries caused by her stupidity.

But pensioners, not being as Considerably Rich as cyclists, can't afford
fridge-freezers or the associated insurance.
