Do you know what really ****es me off? When I'm hiking on a steep,
narrow trail that someone has built stairs into with landscape timbers
to help avoid erosion and some moron (or lots of morons) have decided
they're too cool or too good of a hiker to use those stairs. They walk
around to the side killing the plant life on the edge of the trail and
end up causing erosion all the way down the side of the trail.

Don't tell me that walking has less impact than mountain biking with
respect to the erosion. It's nothing but hogwash.

Thank you for your very scientific opinion. Do your homework. Where
is your evidence?

Ultimately, it's up
to the individual to make a good choice whether or not it's a good
idea to go into a certain area. That's regardless of whether or not
they're on a bike, horse or on foot.

I am working on creating wildlife habitat that is off-limits to
humans ("pure habitat"). Want to help? (I spent the previous 8
years fighting auto dependence and road construction.)
