I like to think that I helped in getting my street made a 20mph zone.
Several neighbouring roads were already 20mph, and the council
published plans to extend the area but oddly left my street as a 30mph
rat run. *I wrote to them to complain about the anomaly and the reply
was something like "err, yes, you're right, sorry". *A few months
later the signs went up. *Shows that it is worth asking.


I've woundered about the 20 zone on the A308 though hampton, the
narrow residential off it are 30. in practice traffic speeds tend to
be reversed.
