I looked at a cheap one in aldi, (somewhere near $150) but the box it
came in was fairly large and it almost touched the box at all sides, I

brute to cart around folded.

That is a problem with the cheapies. I wouldn't want to lug the Brom
all that far by hand, be OK in the bag I have for it and pushing it
onthe wheels ain't bad.

Why carry it though? Just ride it where you are going, then lock it
up and come back for it when done.

Or roll it on its wheels. Hell, a 2nd hand skateboard and a couple of
occy straps....

There's always the oddbikes like the Strida or Clive Sinclair's
whatsit the A-bike. Lots of copies of both on ebay, but the Choice
article at
http://www.choice.com.au/reviews-and...ck-review.aspx
says the A-bike copies are crap which doesn't surprise me. If you only want
short distances it or the Strida might do the job, see

(Choice also have a folding bike review but members only. Your local
library may have a paper copy)

http://www.cellbikes.com.au/Progear-...or-city-riders
reckons $350, says light but doesn't give a weight which sounds sus to
me... BUt they have a storefront in Stanmore and have at least one
Dahon as well.

http://www.stkildacycles.com.au/comp...category_id=46
has Dahons with descriptions, couple of those look more like your
thing. http://www.cyclelink.com.au/category842_1.htm has 'em cheap.
Wooleys Wheels might have some to look at.
