British Cycling encourage millions of people to ride their bikes

sport than ever before.

Cycling is rubbish.Â* I can get there in the same time by running,
without the hassle of a bike, and I'm able to go places bikes can't.

Are you Alan Holmes?

My name is not Alan Holmes.
Who is Alan Holmes?

Someone who used to post here.
He claimed to have once cycled 84 miles from London to the Cotswolds in 2 3/4 hours on a 1950 3-speed roadster loaded with equipment and supplies for a 2 week camping trip.
Another claim was cycling from London to Cumbria for a party in one day and then back the next day.
Since JWS can run 100 miles in a day at an average speed in excess of 12mph, I thought these 2 supermen might be related.
