Is there actually a commercial-sized need/demand for 1/2" SPD pedals, as distinct from a few old fogies who think it would be nice to have them but won't pay for custom machining?

Redline Flight changed the 20" MX/Freestyle world from OPC

to modern CrMo cranks with 9/16" so the volume went below

breakeven for pedal makers.

Thanks. Interesting history lesson. I once looked for a pair of those Redline cranks but this side of the water they're like antiques, and priced accordingly.


That successful crank design was the turning point.
Current models are Flight 2.5, Device, Flight Tubular,
Flight AL, etc.
