Jack, come on - what Astana needs is someone other than Contador to be the
target. Armstrong is what? 37? There's absolutely no way he can win the Tour
unless it's given to him on a platter.


I also am skeptical that Armstrong can win the Tour. At his age, I
can't see him doing well in the last week even if he does remain in
contention to that point.

Nevertheless, there's a chance that he will be in yellow again
tomorrow night. If Astana delivers for him tomorrow and he's able to
keep the yellow for a couple of days, it will build a lot of interest
in the race around the world. You couldn't have written a better
script. Of course, this depends on Lance getting the yellow jersey
tomorrow.

If Lance does win the Tour, it will be an epic achievement. It will
go down in history as one of the greatest achievements by any athlete
in any sport.
