Anyone who is affected by a bicycle on a sidewalk should take
a cue from hikers on trails who have to constantly dodge cyclists at the risk of
their life and limb. Cyclists never have any idea of how they affect anyone
else. That is because they are childish and like all children can see no further
than the tip of their noses.

Perhaps you should have read the original post more carefully. BOTH protagonists are cyclists :-)
