He is one of that select crowd of psychopaths who hold onto some seriously
deluded (but apparently sincerely held) myths. Some of these a

* car owners/drivers pay 'road tax' whereas cyclists don't
* cyclists break the law at a proportionality greater rate than car drivers
* cyclists are 'more dangerous' to pedestrians than car drivers
* cyclists can be 'banned' from cycling on the public highway
* cyclists who don't wear helmets and/or hi-viz are 'responsible for their
own injuries or death

At the end of the day, 'cyclist hatred' springs from the same poisonous
source as racism, anti-Semitism, Islamophobia etc. It is not based on
reason and as such, it is immune to education or reason.

Its proponents should be dealt with the same way.
