New record set as cyclist in slipstream hits 183mph

Denise Mueller-Korenek set the new record of 183.9mph after
disconnecting the tow rope and cycling in the slipstream of a racing car.

"Set a ... record" by being towed?

It would have been easier and more effective to cycle down the aisle of
a Boeing 737 in flight and clock a speed of 500+ miles per hour.

What might his max speed have been had he not been towed by a motor
vehicle and provided with a slipstream (by the atmospheric wake of a
motor vehicle)?
