Still, I suppose if that's all you've got to look forward to in life,
then you haven't got much to lose, I suppose.

Yes, it was absolutely appalling - I guess there must have been millions
of people who were shocked by their antics!
Children, women, OAP's standing in muddy fields with banners waiting to
cross over treacherous cobbles whilst police on motorbikes and on foot
were doing NOTHING! I also noticed that the train had to slow down. I do
wish that more 'Salt of the earth' people were standing for
representative positions (such as contributors to newsgroups) and
legislate to prevent an international rabble upsetting a tranquil society!
I do despair!

What about having the cyclists race on a live train track? It could
certainly improve the sprinting abilities of the cyclists, you could
have the track fenced in closely, with run offs like pitstops every five
miles or so. It could certainly sell on the satellite channels, bit
like the film 'Death Race'. Easily filmed with drones and you could get
the competitors to pay to enter, part of the revenue from the telivising
could make compo payouts for the families of any cyclists that were not
quick enough or had taken insufficient drugs.
