Default Pavement motorist injures Binmen. Nowhere is safe from these car-weapons.

Luckily no pavement cyclists were there at the time.

"Binmen hit by car in Sheffield

Two refuse collectors have been hit by a car in Sheffield, leaving one
of them with life-threatening injuries.

The 50-year-old man suffered injuries to his head, neck, chest and
leg. The second worker, aged 55, has a broken shoulder and ribs.

The workers were on Beaver Hill Road in Woodhouse on Thursday when a
black Volkswagen Golf mounted the curb.

A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.

South Yorkshire Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed
the incident, which happened at 08:25 GMT."

Of course a driving licence is not always a licence to kill but
sometimes it is treated as such.

Oh - so there *is* a law against it - and it gets enforced.

All that is necessary in addition is to enforce the law against footway cycling.

All that is necessary in addition is to enforce the law against footway cycling.

Footway cycling is much less dangerous than pavement motoring and the
problem is the law is not rigorous enough when it comes to road deaths
or injuries caused by drivers. These special 'soft' laws applied to
drivers, 'Careless or Dangerous Driving' should be replaced by those
ordinary laws which are used away from roads and drivers treated the
same as anyone else causing death or injury with a dangerous machine
or weapon.

Another problem is that the law enforcement and justice system is also
dominated by motorists, who are allowed to sit in judgement of other
motorists and are therefore liable to be sympathetic.

But footway cycling is far more prevalent. Do you have the figures for
the number of pavement motorists yet halfwit?

Shocking.
I am sure that Numpty told us that this sort of incident never happens at
all and only cyclists injure pedestrians.
Seems he was as wrong as he usually was when I used to read his tripe.
