and there is not one speck of antiseize on my hands, or on my clothes

No pity.... Coming from someone who routinely has to clean Anti-sieze
off his glasses (impact gun + torque stick + car + antisieze)

If you didn't get any on you, are you sure you got some on the cranks?

I've never managed to keep it off my hands. I'm getting smarter though
and keep some latex gloves in the tool box so the hands have a chance of
staying clean.

Snap go the latex gloves. OK uni, time for that exam.
